| In early August I had the opportunity to race in the Tour of Utah with Nathan. Well sort of, as 10 amateurs were invited to race the prologue at the Utah Olympic Park just minutes before the pros. It was an amazing experience, one that I tried to keep my eyes open the whole time because I knew it would be the world's fastest bike race. Sure enough, the 1.3 mile, 600 foot, 7% grade was over in 6 minutes. I ended up landing a 3rd place finish among the amateurs, although got smoked by the winning pro by 2 minutes. At the end of the day it was one of the cooler sporting experiences that I have been involved with. Thanks, thanks, thanks to Beth and Jill for the support. |
